Shiny
Durable rare encounters across all 251 Gen I/II species.
- Every defeated eligible Pokémon makes a random Shiny roll for that species (#1–#251). Kanto and Outland use the same hard-pity ceilings by tier: E 1,500, D 2,000, C 3,000, B 4,500, A 7,500, S 12,000 eligible defeats. Soft pity begins halfway and grows quadratically until the guaranteed ceiling. Existing defeat history seeds the first area-specific pity counter. Reconnecting or changing maps cannot reroll, reset, or duplicate progress. Shiny Secret Lure and the Shiny Streak track accelerate pity; VIP does not change it.
- Catching a shiny uses a flat per-tier chance × the Poké Ball strength — the normal-capture investment meter does not apply. Defeating the Shiny creates a capture opportunity. Auto-Catch Shiny is opt-in, uses its separately configured ball and follows the access policy shown in Auto-Helper.
- Want a guaranteed path? Collect Shiny Cards and summon the shiny battle at the Altar.
💡 Shiny Pokémon can evolve in Cerulean at the normal required level, using 4× each normal evolution stone requirement (4 or 16 stones in total). Stones are mandatory: there is no free level-reset option. Evolution is optional and irreversible, preserves Shiny, level, XP, IVs, Quality and nature, and shows a preview before confirmation.
